TAPU is an official proof of ownership. In Turkey, every real estate acquisition in the
Land register registered. The buyer is given a land registry document (TAPU). The land register is held in Turkey by the City Administration (Tapu Office).
When the tapus is handed over
Buyers and sellers must record their purchase intentions by submitting their identity cards.
The presence of a sworn interpreter is obligatory for the foreign purchasers.
TAPU includes the following information:
Address, parcel and parcel number of the property photo and personal details
From real estate owner Acquisition date of the property Registration data of the property in the Tapu office Type of the property
(Building land, cultivated land, etc.) Status of the property (separate object, part of an object, etc.)
Plot of land
Reason for the acquisition of property
Value of the property
Signature of the claimant of the Tapu office, stamp, etc.!
